Today I got to stand with the family and friends of Gary Wayne Sutton and speak on behalf of him urging the governor to look at his case and also at death penalty procedures and processes.
If you do not know the case, please look at it. This could be your family fighting for justice for an innocent loved one.

Yes his name is Gary Wayne Sutton most have heard of his story through TV (news), social media,books and so forth. He is an innocent man truly fighting for his life with an ex*****on date set for December 3rd,2026. So with that being said we don't have a lot of time. We really need to put the pressure on with our judicial system and our Governor. Particularly Governor Bill Lee in the State of TN. We know what happened in this case we read the transcripts. The State does not have any statements from any witnesses wherein Gary Wayne Sutton has allegedly told them he participated in the death of Connie Brannam.
🫆The State has in its possession a .303 fired rifle shell, seized from Connie Brannam’s car, which was found to have been fired in a .303 rifle taken from the co-defendant, James Dellinger. The State has no forensic evidence to prove that that shell was fired at or around the time of Connie Brannam’s death.
🫆Dr. William Bass, the forensic expert who examined the body of Connie Brannam, cannot opine that Connie Brannam’s cause of death was the result of any criminal instrumentality.
🫆Dr. William Bass cannot opine that Connie Brannam was shot by any firearm.
🫆Dr. William Bass cannot opine the date or time of Connie Brannam’s death.
🫆The crime lab determined that no petroleum distillates were discovered in Connie Brannam’s burned car. The crime lab determined that the pieces of metal found in Connie Brannam’s shoulder weighing 19.2 grains contained no lead, but were made of zinc.
🫆There is no forensic, or other evidence, that Connie Brannam was alive when her body was burned. The drug screen on Connie Brannam revealed the substance, doxepin, in her body. The State believes Connie Brannam was drinking alcohol on the Saturday she disappeared.
🫆The State has within its possession no statements from Connie Brannam indicating that she knew anything about her brother, Tommy Griffin’s, death.
🫆 The State does have statements that she was looking for her brother.
🫆The .303 rifle seized in this case was not seized from the home of Gary Wayne Sutton.
