Today we had the pleasure of hosting a powerful SPARK presentation from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. Our students were engaged, attentive, and challenged to think about their future, their choices, and finding their spark.

Thank you to the presenters for taking the time to pour into our Falcons and create meaningful conversations that will continue beyond today.

Yesterday we had some very special VIPs in the building, and what an honor it was for McMurray to host an Alumni Tour! It was incredible watching former students walk the halls again, visit classrooms, and see the amazing things happening in our building today.

A huge thank you to Mr. Broadway and our Student Leadership Team for doing such an outstanding job leading the tour, welcoming our guests, and sharing information about the growth, opportunities, and experiences happening at McMurray. You represented our school with confidence, pride, and professionalism.

Moments like these remind us that once a Falcon, always a Falcon.

And just like that…Staffapalooza 2026 has come to an end

We wrapped up Teacher Appreciation Week McMurray style with our Country Concert Day, and the FALCONtastic faculty and staff definitely understood the assignment! From cowboy hats and boots to denim and concert-ready fits, the halls looked like a country music festival all day long.

To top it all off, teachers were surprised Friday afternoon with a much-needed “Snack Attack” cart rolling through the building packed with Little Debbie cakes, chips, and sweet treats to help everyone push through the end of the week. And honestly…on a Friday afternoon, it was right on time!

This week was filled with laughter, music, food, surprises, dress-up days, and moments to celebrate the incredible people who pour into our students every single day. Thank you to every staff member who participated, showed up, and helped make this week so much fun. The energy, teamwork, and joy throughout the building reminded us exactly why McMurray is such a special place.

To our teachers and staff:
Thank you for loving our students, supporting each other, and continuing to help our Falcons SOAR every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say.
