Nashville, that’s a wrap on the 2026 RHI Sociable City Summit, and what an incredible experience it was. We came together for powerful conversations, shared ideas, and real community-building, and it was a pleasure to be part of such an energizing and meaningful event.
A sincere thank you to all of the panel guests who contributed their voices, expertise, and perspective throughout the summit. Your presence helped make the conversations thoughtful, engaging, and impactful.
And a special shoutout to my coworkers at the Nashville Mayor’s Office of Nightlife for hosting an awesome, incredible event. Your hard work, teamwork, and commitment to excellence made this summit such a success, and it was amazing to see everything come together so beautifully.
We’re grateful to everyone who made Nashville unforgettable, and we’re already looking forward to seeing everyone next year in Philly. Until then, thank you for the memories, the inspiration, and the momentum

The nightlife culture panel at the RHI Summit was a powerful reminder that nightlife is more than entertainment. it is culture, connection, identity, and community.
It was a meaningful space to share perspectives, honor the work happening in our city, and celebrate the role nightlife plays in shaping Nashville’s story.
The conversation was real, relevant, and rooted in the lived experiences that make nightlife such an important part of our city’s cultural fabric.
Thank you to Corey Jones, Darius McDonald, Gary Whitlow, and Tina Vogt for hosting us with intention and care, and to the National Museum of African American Music for providing such a powerful space for this conversation. Your hospitality and support made the experience even more meaningful.

Nashville showed up beautifully for the Women in Hospitality, Entertainment, and Sports session at the RHI Sociable City Summit. It was an incredible conversation filled with insight, leadership, and real examples of how women are shaping the future of this city across industries.

A special thank you to Leesa LeClaire, Chef Shatika Robinson, Michelle Kennedy, Tiffany Kerns, Lauren Morales, and Ericka Nichols for sharing your voices, your wisdom, and your perspective. Each of you brought something powerful to the room, and together you created an amazing session that celebrated the strength, talent, and impact of women leaders in Nashville.

From hospitality to entertainment to sports, this panel reminded us that Nashville’s leadership is bold, diverse, and deeply inspiring. Grateful to have been part of such a meaningful moment with so many amazing women making a difference in the city.

This morning started on a strong note at the RHI Sociable Summit with a warm welcome from Chief Drake to open the morning sessions.

The first panel of the day, Nashville Collaborative for Safety: Managing Nightlife, set the tone for a meaningful and productive conversation about keeping Nashville’s nightlife safe, coordinated, and community-focused.

A special thank-you to Commander Bearden with Police, Chief Tidwell with Fire, Jeff Johnson with Safe Bar, Robert Rooker with NDOT, and of course Chief Drake, Nashville’s Chief of Police, for their leadership, partnership, and commitment to public safety.

The energy, collaboration, and shared purpose in that room made it clear that when Nashville works together, great things happen.

The holiday season is officially shining bright in Music City! 🎄
Tonight, the annual Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting brought the community together at Public Square Park to kick off the festive season. The city’s beautiful tree lit up the downtown skyline, surrounded by live music, local performers, and plenty of holiday cheer.
This tradition, which began back in 1988, continues to grow each year—celebrating Nashville’s spirit of togetherness, music, and joy. Whether you came for the lights, the carols, or just the cozy holiday vibes, there’s no better way to start December in Nashville.

We had a great time celebrating and supporting our partners in the hospitality industry at the Big Table fundraiser last night!

We learned some sobering data in the process:

1) The average income in the hospitality industry nationally is $28,600 which is only 37% of the $77,500 income deemed necessary for a single-parent household to comfortably raise a child in Nashville.

2) Also, 80% of hospitality workers report suffering significantly with anxiety, depression, or mental health.

3) Finally, every one of the 10 lowest paying jobs in America out of over 500 tracked by the federal Bureau of Labor and Statistics is in the hospitality industry.

We also heard stories from individuals whose lives were changed by the incredible service of Big Table. Overall, it was great to see so many people in attendance and supporting this industry that is so often taken for granted.
