☀️🐾 Hot cars can be deadly for pets.

As temperatures rise, we would like to remind everyone that leaving dogs or other animals inside a parked vehicle on hot summer days is extremely dangerous — and against the law.

Even with the windows cracked, the inside of a vehicle can heat up very quickly, putting animals at serious risk of heatstroke, injury, or death.

Please leave your pets at home where they are safe and cool. If you see an animal in distress inside a vehicle, call 911 right away.

Protect your pets. Don’t leave them behind. 🐶🚗☀️

Congratulations to Officer Connor Perry and Officer Adam Anderson on competing in and certifying at the United States Police Canine Association Region 4 PD1 Field Trials.

These trials test each handler’s abilities in apprehension, obedience, evidence recovery, and suspect searches while competing against K-9 teams from across New England.

Both Officer Perry and Officer Anderson qualified to compete at the National Championships later this year in Abilene, Texas.

A special congratulations to Officer Adam Anderson for earning 2nd Overall in the Novice Division — an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the hard work and dedication put in both on and off the training field.

Great work by both teams representing the Nashua Police Department and our K-9 Unit! 🐾💙

🚨 RUNNING FOR A CAUSE! 🏃‍♂️🔥

This morning members of the Nashua Police Department and some incredible Special Olympics athletes hit the pavement for the Nashua leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run!

We had an amazing time running in support of the Special Olympics New Hampshire, celebrating inclusion, sportsmanship, and community.

🤝 The Hand-off: We officially passed the torch over to our neighbors at the Merrimack Police Department at the town line! Good luck on your leg of the journey!

🙌 A Huge Thank You: This morning wouldn't have been possible without our amazing community partners. A giant shoutout to:

Nashua Transit Authority for assisting with safe transportation for our runners.

Pressed Café for fueling us up and keeping our energy high! ☕️🥑

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on along the route. We are so proud to support our athletes!

🏒🚔 Congratulations to the Nashua Police Hockey Team! 🚔🏒

This past weekend, the Nashua Police Hockey Team competed in the BFit Heroes Cup and brought home the win in their division!

Even more importantly, the team helped raise over $13,000 in support of this great event. We are proud of their hard work on the ice and their commitment to giving back off the ice.

Great job to everyone involved! 👏

⚾ Strikeout the SRO! ⚾

Today, members of the Nashua Police Department had a great time at Nashua High School South for the Strikeout the SRO event!

Chief Rourke stepped onto the mound and was able to strike out SRO Officer French… or did she let him because he’s the Chief? 🤔 We may never know.

K-9 Ozzy was also in attendance, making the day even better and, as usual, stealing some of the spotlight.

All joking aside, it was a great event, a great day, and, most importantly, they raised $100 for the Panther Pantry.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success! 👏⚾

This Memorial Day, the Nashua Police Department joins our community and our nation in honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. Today, we pause to remember those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we are fortunate to have.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the families of the fallen, whose sacrifice is also forever remembered.

From all of us at the Nashua Police Department, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Congratulations to the members of the Nashua Police Department who participated in today’s Run to Remember.

This meaningful event honors the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, while bringing together officers, families, and supporters from across the region.

We are also proud to share that the Nashua Police team came in 1st place in the First Responder Challenge! Great job by everyone who represented NPD with pride, teamwork, and remembrance. 💙🏃‍♂️🇺🇸

Today, members of the Nashua Police Department will proudly attend the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Memorial Service in Concord to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

This annual ceremony is a solemn reminder of the courage, dedication, and selflessness of New Hampshire’s law enforcement officers who gave their lives protecting our communities.

We stand with their families, friends, and loved ones, and we will never forget their service or sacrifice.

Today, we also hold close in our hearts the four Nashua Police officers who gave their lives in service to our city: Officer James Roche, Officer Michael Latvis, Officer Edward Graziano, and Chief Armand Roussel.

Their sacrifice will always be remembered. 💙
