𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, he quickly fell behind on rent. With little savings to fall back on, 𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝟳-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 from their apartment.

By day, Lee looked for work while Luke was in school. 𝗔𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁, wrapped in coats and sleeping bags to keep warm.

When Lee finally found steady employment, he was able to secure a modest apartment and fold up the tent for good

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 – 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲'𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 “𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁” – while Lee rebuilds.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, she turned to the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter, where she found more than a meal and a bed.

𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, she was able to move from survival to stability and into her own apartment.

𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 that anyone can experience a crisis, and that lasting solutions require dignity and community support.
