Today, June 14, we celebrate Flag Day. This day commemorates the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official symbol of our nation back in 1777.

We love to celebrate! But we also want to keep our town safe, quiet at night, and comfortable for our pets and neighbors.

If you want to use fireworks, please look at the calendar image below before you start! πŸ‘‡

πŸ“… June 25–30 and July 1–13: From 5 PM until 2 hours after the sun goes down
πŸ“… July 4th: From 10 AM to midnight

⚠️ Please note: Fireworks are not allowed on any other days in June or July (including this weekend). Using them on days not listed on the calendar can lead to fines for loud noise.

Let’s keep it safe and neighborly this year! Please be kind to the people around you. Remember that loud noises can scare pets, veterans, and young children.

We had an intense storm roll through our area last night that left behind a lot of tree debris. Our Street Department crews were out last night clearing the roads to keep everyone safe, and they will be out collecting storm debris that is brought to the curb.

β€’ π–π‘πšπ­ 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨: If the wind left fallen limbs or tree debris, please take them out to the curb so our guys can collect them.
β€’ 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞π₯𝐩 𝐰𝐒𝐭𝐑 𝐠𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭 π₯𝐒𝐦𝐛𝐬? If you have massive limbs at the curb that you need assistance with, please call City Hall and we will let our team know.

πŸ† The Contest:
Decorate your wheels for a chance to win awesome prizes! The contest is broken down into three age brackets:
🟒 Ages 4–6

πŸ”΄ Ages 10–12

⏰ When & Where:
Lineup and judging starts at 10:30 AM at Nappanee Elementary School on Saturday, July 4th (just before the main parade kicks off at 11:00 AM).
