LABADIEVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Donald Joseph Mcbride,53, of 225 Fairlane Dr., Gray, La., on multiple charges after he was stopped by deputies for bicycle law violations early Thursday morning in Labadieville.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a subject riding a bicycle on the northbound shoulder traveling southbound. The deputy made contact with the operator now identified as Donald Joseph Mcbride and engaged Mcbride in an officer violator interview. The deputy noted bicycle related violations.

The deputy conducted a warrants check on Mcbride and determined that he was wanted by Thibodaux Municipal Court on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of obscenity.

During a pat down search incidental to arrest, Donald Joseph Mcbride was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and ma*****na.

Donald Joseph Mcbride was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

10 Child Predators Arrested in “Operation Bottom Dweller”
Napoleonville, LA — From August 26–28, 2026, Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon and Attorney General Liz Murrill hosted a proactive undercover online operation, dubbed “Operation Bottom Dweller,” aimed at identifying, investigating, and apprehending individuals who use electronic communications or internet-based platforms to solicit, entice, or attempt to exploit individuals they believe to be juveniles for sexual purposes.

“This was never what the internet was intended for, and these violators have no mercy on who’s children they target. Today, tomorrow, or in the future, it could be any of our children -i.e., yours, mine, our friends, or neighbors. We will continue to vigorously pursue these individuals and send them to prison where they can never again harm a child,” said Sheriff Leland Falcon.

The operation conducted in Assumption Parish has resulted in the identification and arrest of suspects across multiple states. Notable arrests include:

Lesli Joel Calix Sarmiento, an unlawfully present Honduran national who had previously been removed from the United States and who arrived in Assumption Parish for the purpose of having sexual in*******se with someone he reasonably believed to be under the age of 16.

Malcolm Barnes III, a minister from New Iberia, who is currently out on a $150,000.00 bond through the 16th JDC (St. Mary Parish) on prior charges of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor.

Chaz Fromnethal, booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center as a fugitive, was also charged with the illegal possession of a stolen fi***rm.

“Partnerships work! Together with our amazing sheriffs and law enforcement officers across the state, the Louisiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force takes the fight to child predators. Those who would hurt our most innocent will face Louisiana justice,” said AG Liz Murrill.

Since assuming office, the Attorney General has increased the size of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force from eight law enforcement members to 80, including all 64 parish sheriffs and multiple local, state, and federal partners. During that time, the Task Force has made more than 1,300 arrests and rescued nearly 200 child victims from ongoing abuse.

NEIGHBORING PARISHES

NAPOLEONVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is utilizing this message proactively to inform all parents and students of a threatening Tik Tok reel circulating in our neighboring parishes. This reel is the “Cat in the Hat,” using Dr. Seuss style verbiage to threaten violence upon schools and individuals.

The sheriff’s office is prepared to aggressively respond to any such activity that may occur in Assumption Parish.

It is important that our students of all ages understand that creating, sharing, or circulating messages relating to violence is a violation of the law and contrary to polices of our public education system.

Whomever creates such images and utilizes them on Tik Tok or any other social media sites and anyone who shares such images can face severe consequences from Law-Enforcement as well as the education system.

Safety is our top priority, and any such threats will be taken seriously. This type of activity will not be treated as a hoax or a joke.

If any student, parent, or member of the community should observe or receive any such material via Tik Tok or any other social media site, we ask that you immediately contact the sheriff’s office at 985-369-2912, your school resource officers and / or school administrators.

SUBJECT: ATTEMPTED TRAFFIC STOP, AGGRAVATED FLIGHT, I.C.E.
ARREST – ANTORY MENARD BEASLEY, JR.

PLATTENVILLE - Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Antory Menard Beasley, Jr., 20, of 133 Bertrand St., Napoleonville, La., on felony charges arising from an attempted traffic stop, turned aggravated flight, originating near Plattenville on Sunday evening.

A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. Detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and attempted a stop of that vehicle. The suspect vehicle was observed southbound on LA.308 when the deputy attempted the stop.

The driver continued onto the Spur 70 bridge eventually crossing onto LA.1 turning southbound. The driver turned onto Bertrand St., then parked in a private driveway. The driver walked away from deputies and then physically resisted deputies efforts to take him into custody. The driver now identified as Antory Menard Beasley, Jr. was arrested. Deputies seized a large caliber handgun from the suspect vehicle. Antory Menard Beasley, Jr., could not legally possess a fi***rm due to his status as a convicted felon.

Antory Menard Beasley, Jr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence – 2 Counts
*Possession of a Fi***rm by a Convicted Felon

SUBJECT: NARCOTICS INVESTIGATION – STEVI JAYNE GONZALES,
SHAWN JOSEPH OLIVIER

PAINCOURTVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Stevi Jayne Gonzales, 38, of 303 Mahler St., Houma, La., and Shawn Joseph Olivier, 47, of 303 Mahler St. Houma, La., on multiple felony drug charges arising from an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by the sheriff’s office narcotics division.

As part of a continuing illegal narcotics investigation, agents developed information indicating Stevi Jayne Gonzales and Shawn Joseph Olivier were engaged in the illegal trafficking of narcotics in Assumption Parish.

On Thursday evening, deputies and narcotics investigators attempted to stop a vehicle occupied by Gonzales and Olivier on LA. 70 East of Paincourtville. The suspect vehicle being driven by Shawn Joseph Olivier continued on for a distance before stopping.

Deputies conducted interviews of both Stevi Jayne Gonzales and Shawn Joseph Olivier. At the conclusion of those interviews, the deputies believed additional investigation was warranted.

Deputies utilized a K-9 to conduct an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances.

During a search of the suspect vehicle, deputies seized a quantity of methamphetamine. Agents also seized suspected methamphetamine which the suspect’s attempted to discard.

Stevi Jayne Gonzales was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Obstruction of Justice

Stevi Jayne Gonzales remains incarcerated with a bond set at $150,000.

Shawn Joseph Olivier was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance
*Obstruction of Justice
*Following too closely

PAINCOURTVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Travis McNeil Muse, 46, of 169 Highway 403, Paincourtville, La., on felony charges arising from an incident near LA. 1 and LA. 403 in Paincourtville late Tuesday evening.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed an individual walking in the vicinity of several closed businesses and approached the man in an attempt to identify him and inquire as to his purpose for being there.

The subject began running from the deputy but was detained a short time later. The suspect now identified as Travis McNeil Muse continued to resist efforts to take him into custody.

During the process of attempting to arrest Muse, he discarded an item. Deputies were able to recover the package which was found to contain synthetic ma*****na.

Travis McNeil Muse was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Synthetic Ma*****na
*Resisting an Officer – 2 Counts
*Detainer – Probation / Parole

Travis McNeil Muse was ordered held without bond on the probation / parole detainer and bond on the remaining charges was set at $50,000.

NAPOLEONVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Trey Allen Duet, 27, of 109 Teddy Street, Pierre Part, La., on charges accusing him of violating a protective order, 171 counts.

Trey Allen Duet was arrested on August 10, 2026, on felony charges arising from a domestic incident in Pierre Part. As a result of that incident, a protective order was filed against Duet in favor of the victim in the domestic incident. Duet was personally served that protective order.

During a follow-up investigation, deputies determined that Trey Allen Duet had attempted to or made contact with the victim 171 times, in violation of the protective orders.

Trey Allen Duet was charged on Wednesday evening on counts of:

*Violation of Protective Orders – 171 Counts

Trey Allen Duet remains incarcerated with bond set at $35,000 on the original domestic charges and awaits a bond hearing on the protective order violations.

Trey Allen Duet also faces a probation / parole detainer and was ordered held without bond on the detainer.
