Today we had the opportunity to train employees from the Henry County Highway Department in CPR and AED use at Napoleon Fire & Rescue.

Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere — and the first few minutes are critical. Immediate CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival, and using an AED as soon as possible can make all the difference.

You don’t have to be a firefighter or paramedic to save a life. With the right training, anyone can step in and help when it matters most.

We appreciate their commitment to being prepared and willing to act in an emergency.

Crews will be performing airboat training on the river around 1 pm this afternoon. We realize that our rescue boat draws some attention when it is deployed, but as summer approaches and we get closer to more activity on the water, our members want to be prepared and proficient in the event an emergency occurs. Should you be out and about on this beautiful day, feel free to stop at the boat ramp to see our rescue boat up close and personal and meet those who dedicate themselves to the great City of Napoleon and surrounding areas.
