On August 12th, Napoleon Ambulance District assisted NDSU Extension and NDSU School of Nursing in a Stop the Bleed training at Napoleon Public School through a grant through NDSU School of Nursing to get school faculty trained in stopping bleeding. This was a great and fun training. Thank you to all the faculty who made this training a great environment and fun!! I think great learning and fun was had by all.

Please keep a watch out for posting on our page soon for upcoming Stop The Bleed trainings which will be held at the ambulance hall by Napoleon Ambulance District. This is a fairly quick and easy training which can be lifesaving!!!

Remember - "You never know you need to know it until you NEED to." Get the knowledge to be able to act quick when only a couple minutes matter.

On August 5th we held a babysitting class of 9 participants. They all did well. They learned how to feed, burp, change diapers, swaddle, and change clothes on babies and toddlers. They also learned good babysitting practices such as setting rules, house safety, games to play, dos and don’t of babysitting as well as how to do CPR, choking, and use an AED on infants, children, and adults and common first aid training. Don’t worry they didn’t actually perform abdominal thrusts - just proper placement of hands. I think their favorite first aid skill was how to apply the tourniquet. They got to apply it on each other and see how tight it feels.

WOW!!! Thank you so much to our AMAZING community and businesses. Your support of our ambulance and fire services is definitely felt and very much appreciated!!! Thank you to everyone who came out to our event and supported us with free-will donation, bidding on silent auction items, playing games, etc. We appreciate all of you!!!!

We couldn't do what we do without our community and businesses. This is the best turnout we have had yet. We served around 250 people. We would like to apologize for the long wait at times for the food, and we have made notes to make changes for next year to make this quicker.

We had 37 items donated for Silent Auction. Such a great variety of different items and such neat ideas. Winners have been notified.

We had an incredible amount of donated baked goods for the event. Thank you to the many who donated baked goods. So many great things to choose from.

Thank you to the following businesses and individuals who donated Silent Auction items, door prize items, water, buns, and money separately from the free-will meal. I think I got everyone listed. If I forgot anyone, please comment so we know.
