We’re getting close!

The 48N48 Henry County Airport Open House is Saturday, September 12, and as we put the finishing touches on this year’s event, we could still use a few more people who would like to help us make the day a success.

Whether you’d like to volunteer your time, support the event financially, or simply help spread the word, we’d love to have you involved.

This event is about much more than airplanes. It’s about bringing our community together, introducing kids and families to aviation, and supporting the Veterans Airlift Command.

We were thrilled to attend the announcement of the new JobsOhio Technician Path program at Northwest State Community College on Monday! 🛠️💡

Finding qualified technical talent is one of the top challenges facing local businesses. To bridge this gap, JobsOhio has introduced the Technician Path program—an innovative "earn-and-learn" incentive designed to help Ohio employers build a sustainable talent pipeline from the ground up.

Collaborating with our regional partners to bring workforce solutions like this to our community is at the heart of our mission. It was great catching up with our fellow Northwest Ohio Local Economic Development Organization (LEDO) colleagues during the event. We deeply value the opportunity to work alongside such an incredible group of dedicated professionals—and even better, close friends! 🤝

A strong workforce is essential to continued economic growth across Henry County and Northwest Ohio.
JobsOhio has launched the JobsOhio Technician Path, a new incentive program designed to help local employers develop skilled talent while giving employees the opportunity to earn a paycheck as they train for in-demand technical careers.
Whether you have 10 employees or 10,000, this program supports businesses of any size in building a talent pipeline through structured earn-and-learn opportunities.
Why participate?
✅Up to $10,000 per worker: Receive direct funding in three milestones as your employee advances through an approved training pathway.
✅Flexible Funds: Use support to offset wages, tuition, recruiting, or supervisor time—whatever helps your business grow.
✅Expert Support: Access hands-on guidance from regional advisors to design training plans, connect with education partners, and navigate the application process.
With Ohio projected to need more than 230,000 technicians over the next decade, this initiative, part of a broader $300 million investment in experiential learning is a powerful resource to help Henry County businesses stay competitive.
