Naperville proudly celebrated its annual Labor Day Parade, bringing together families, community groups, and local organizations for a day of tradition and unity.

Mayor and Naperville City Council members marched alongside residents, greeting attendees and honoring the contributions of workers who strengthen the community. The parade, filled with colorful floats, marching bands, and local participants, reflected Naperville’s spirit of togetherness and appreciation for those who help make the city thrive.

Naperville Community Television (NCTV17) Celebrates 25 Years of “Spotlight”

NCTV17 recently celebrated the 25th Anniversary of “Spotlight,” bringing together community leaders, nonprofit organizations, board members, staff, and friends at the NCTV17 station in Naperville.

The celebration featured an evening of networking, refreshments, and a special program recognizing the longstanding impact of Spotlight in showcasing the outstanding work of organizations and community members throughout Naperville.

A highlight of the evening was a City Proclamation recognizing 25 years of “Spotlight” and its valuable contribution to the community.

Congratulations to NCTV17 Board, staff, and the entire Spotlight team on this remarkable milestone and for 25 years of telling the stories that connect, inform, and strengthen our community!

I have been a strong advocate and supporter of NCTV for many years for their dedication and commitment to city of Naperville.

Public safety and the economy got high marks on the community survey, with mobility and affordability noted as areas for improvement.

The community survey, conducted by Polco, reported high satisfaction in such areas as public safety, and lower scores in affordability.

Naperville Community School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204 high schools have been named among the top 50 high schools in the state, in a new listing by U.S. News & World Report.

Legislative Reception at DuPage Children’s Museum Brings Together Elected Officials and Community Leaders

The Legislative Reception at the DuPage Children’s Museum brought together elected officials, community leaders, educators, nonprofit organizations, and advocates for children and families for an engaging morning focused on the future of early learning and family-centered programs throughout the region.

Held over coffee and light refreshments, the informal gathering provided an opportunity for legislators and community partners to connect, exchange perspectives, and learn more about the programs and initiatives supporting children and families across DuPage County and the surrounding communities.

Riding alongside our Deputy Police Chief during National Night Out in Naperville was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community.

With 36 neighborhood celebrations taking place across the city, National Night Out brings residents, law enforcement, and community leaders together to promote neighborhood safety, strengthen police-community partnerships, and celebrate the spirit of community.

It was a pleasure reconnecting with many familiar faces while also meeting new friends. As a community connector, moments like these remind me that strong relationships are the foundation of a safe, welcoming, and vibrant Naperville. 😊

It was an Honor to Join BMO’s Grand Reopening & Ribbon Cutting Celebration!

Community leaders, business professionals, elected officials, and members of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce gathered this evening to celebrate the grand reopening of BMO following the completion of a full-scale renovation of its Naperville Financial Center.

Hosted in partnership with the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, the ribbon cutting ceremony marked an exciting new chapter for one of the city’s longest-standing businesses. A proud Chamber member for 69 years, BMO continues its legacy of serving customers while investing in the growth and well-being of the Naperville community.

The celebration featured remarks from representatives of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Naperville, Councilman Ashfaq Syed, Congressman Bill Foster, and BMO leadership. Financial Center Manager Allan Noworul shared BMO’s vision for the newly remodeled location and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while giving back to the communities it serves.

The event was attended by BMO leaders including Market President Robert St. Clair, Performance Manager Melissa Garcia, and Wealth Managing Director Rae Anne Soria, along with local business leaders, Chamber members, and community stakeholders.

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates BMO on this exciting milestone and thanks the entire BMO team for nearly seven decades of partnership, community leadership, and continued investment in Naperville. The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce successfully launched its new leadership series, “Coffee & Conversations: Inside City Leadership,” bringing together members of the local business community and city leadership for an open, engaging, and interactive discussion.

The inaugural event provided a unique opportunity for business owners, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders to connect directly with city leaders in an intimate setting. Participants discussed topics ranging from economic development and business growth to city initiatives, infrastructure, and the importance of fostering strong partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Naperville reigns as ‘retail mecca,’ producing $5.7B in sales last year!

Naperville reigns supreme once again as an economic powerhouse among Chicago suburbs.

The annual report from the firm takes a comprehensive look at suburban retail numbers to document shifts in the marketplace based on various retail sales categories. In 2025, Naperville produced over $5.7 billion in retail sales, up 15.2% over 2024.

Naperville retained its spot as the top suburban retail sales generator in the Chicago area, according to the new Melaniphy report.
