National Grandparents Day is this Sunday, and our halls are about to get a lot louder — in the best possible way.

Grandkids visiting on a Sunday afternoon is one of our favorite sights around here: card games at the tables, homemade drawings taped to apartment doors, and someone's great-granddaughter being introduced to every single neighbor on the floor.

Here's what we've learned watching it happen: those visits are good for everyone. Kids get stories they'll repeat their whole lives. Grandparents get purpose, energy, and something to look forward to all week.
Families — bring the kids Sunday. Neighbors without family nearby, you're not sitting this one out either. That's what a community is for.

Happy Labor Day from Martin Avenue Apartments — where the résumés in this building could staff an entire city.

Our 200+ residents spent their working years as teachers, nurses, factory floor supervisors, small business owners, bus drivers, bookkeepers, and tradespeople. They built Naperville, paid into it, and raised families in it.

Affordable senior housing is how a community keeps its promise to the people who did that work. Nobody should have to leave the town they gave forty years to because the rent outran the pension.

What a night! We had the joy of hosting the ASSP Association Of Senior Service Providers - ASSP - Rockford after-hours networking event here at Martin Avenue Apartments — and let's just say the disco ball did its job.

Between the mirror-ball shimmer and a playlist that would make Travolta proud, nobody stayed in their seat for long. It was a night of great conversation, big laughs, and Name That Tune prizes!

The bell-bottoms came out of storage, and the strobe lights lit up the night! Our Disco Fever Courtyard Dinner Party was a huge success, and the excitement in our halls was electric.

At Martin Avenue, we completely reject the boring stereotypes of senior living. Our 200+ residents hit the dance floor, proving that vibrant, joyful living has absolutely no age limit.

A huge thank you to Belgio's Catering for the delicious BBQ dinner and Fred Stadler, our amazing Disco DJ! Our residents kept the groove going all evening.. We couldn't have done it without our dedicated staff!
