Earlier this week I volunteered as a member of Napa Sunrise Rotary to help Feeding It Forward distribute their incredible haul of donated food to those in need. Great fun and very rewarding!

When a Red Flag Warning is issued, every minute matters.

Red Flag Warnings signal dangerous weather conditions that can contribute to extreme wildfire behavior. Monitor local alerts, follow guidance from emergency officials, and be prepared to act quickly if conditions change. Evacuating early before evacuation orders is recommended to avoid being trapped.

It was wonderful to see Drene Johnson, Executive Director of Community Action of Napa Valley, alongside Elisabeth Frater, Board Director at Feeding It Forward, at the 2026 Joint Summer Mixer.

There was something especially fitting about having CANV and Feeding It Forward side by side — two organizations working every day to provide food, support, and resources to so many of our neighbors throughout Napa County. 💚

More than 200 members of our community came together for the evening, hosted by the Napa Chamber of Commerce and Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on the beautiful grounds of the Napa Valley Education Foundation.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to connect with fellow community leaders, strengthen partnerships, and celebrate the organizations working together to make Napa County stronger.

We were thrilled to celebrate our 1,000,000-pound milestone in food recovered and distributed to those in need. We couldn't have accomplished this without our amazing staff, volunteers, food donor businesses, and community-based organization partners!

Thank you to our long-term supporters:
City of Napa
County of Napa
Napa Recycling & Waste Services
Gasser Foundation
PG&E
Lewis Cellars
Latitude38
Napa Valley Community Foundation
Safeway Foundation
and the many others who have supported our work over the years!

A major milestone for a community effort: Napa nonprofit Feeding It Forward has recovered more than a million pounds of edible food since its founding in 2018.
