🚨 Serial thief and fraud suspect in custody 🚨
On 5/30/26, a Napa resident reported fraudulent charges made using a stolen credit card across Napa, Solano, and Sonoma counties. SEU detectives identified Nicholas Alves as the primary suspect. Alves was already wanted on two separate felony warrants tied to prior burglary and identity theft investigations.
On 6/4/26, Napa PD patrol officers located and arrested Alves on his outstanding felony warrants. SEU detectives later served a search warrant at his residence, where officers located suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, brass knuckles, and additional evidence connected to identity theft and stolen property crimes.
Alves now faces additional felony charges related to multiple identity theft and burglary investigations.

⚠️ NPD is also aware of several reports of vehicles being rummaged through in the Browns Valley neighborhood during the early morning hours on Monday. If you discover missing credit cards or notice fraudulent charges on your accounts, please report the incident to law enforcement immediately.
