NCOE leadership, and Napa County Board of Education Trustee Sindy Biederman, recently visited the Napa River Ecology Center project site in American Canyon for a guided tour. Beyond exploring the site, they spent time discussing exciting future partnership opportunities to connect local students with hands-on environmental learning.

NAPA COUNTY TEACHERS: Judges are available for classroom visits that focus on age-appropriate discussions about constitutional rights and Q&A sessions where students can learn firsthand about a judge's role. DEADLINE TO REQUEST A VISIT IS SEPTEMBER 15!

📚 Bring civics into your classroom with help from the Napa County Superior Court!

As part of a statewide America250 outreach challenge, Napa County judges have pledged to connect with at least 250 K–12 students by the end of 2026.

Beginning in September, judicial officers are available for classroom visits featuring age-appropriate conversations about constitutional rights and opportunities for students to learn firsthand about the role of a judge. Courthouse tours and mock trial events are also available.

Teachers interested in participating should contact [email protected] by September 15 or call 707-299-1110.

Help inspire Napa County’s next generation of informed and engaged citizens!

September is Su***de Prevention Month. It’s an important moment to talk about connection, being there for each other, and su***de prevention (even more than we usually do).

All month, we’ll be sharing posts about 988 and how to break the ice and keep the conversation going with the youth in your life. Thank you to our online community for helping spread the message.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! NCOE—in partnership with our neighboring Napa County school districts—encourages every student to "Start Strong. Show Up. Shine."

We believe that each student has the potential to excel, but success starts with being in the classroom. School attendance is a shared community effort, and we are calling on families, employers, and educators to work together to ensure students are present and ready to learn. Missing just ten percent of the school year—which breaks down to only two days each month—can make it significantly harder for students to keep up with lessons and stay on track for graduation.

For resources to help your student build great attendance habits visit napacoe.org/attendance.

Let’s work together to help every student SHINE this year! ✨
