The next Friends of Nanuet Library Mah Jongg Tournament Fundraiser will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, a captivating event dedicated to supporting our library. This charitable tournament invites passionate players to showcase their skills while making a meaningful impact.‎

The tournament will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Nanuet Public Library, 149 Church Street, Nanuet, NY. There will be four rounds of play, each lasting 55 minutes.‎ There will be cash prizes and a 50/50 drawing.

As we come together for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and love of the game, your participation will help raise vital funds to support our library's essential resources.

The Friends of Nanuet Library is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission of fundraising, advocacy, and support for the Library.

Libraries are Revolutionary!
 
The Library Association of Rockland County invites you to participate in Revolutionary Rockland: Self-Guided Tour and Raffle. As our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary, the public libraries of Rockland invite you to explore your county through the lens of history. Here’s how it works:
•      Beginning Tuesday, May 26, pick up or print out a bifold Revolutionary Rockland brochure, which lists historic points of interest, museums, and parks around our county.
•     Use your brochure to track the dates you visit each site.
•     Once you’ve visited at least five sites, return your completed brochure to the library. (Deadline Tues, Sept. 8)
•     You will be entered into the Revolutionary Rockland raffle. The grand prize is a gift certificate to ’76 House!
 
In this video the LARC mascot visited The Historical Society of Rockland County and their special exhibit for America’s 250th Anniversary, the Orangetown Historical Museum & Archives and their exhibit “From Democracy to Disco,” a collection featuring the Bicentennial, and the Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site.
