This afternoon, Nanuet EMS and Rockland Paramedic Services Medic 3 along with the Clarkstown Police Department, Nanuet Fire Department, and New City Fire Engine Co No 1 responded to Route 304 and Pineview Ave for a motor vehicle accident. Two vehicles collided on Route 304 causing one to lose control, strike a tree, and roll over. The sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Last night, several of our EMTs along with our Youth Corps members joined the West-Nyack Fire-Department for a hands-on vehicle extrication training drill. These joint training opportunities allow our crews to sharpen their skills and strengthen teamwork to ensure we’re prepared to respond when seconds matter. Thank you to the WNFD for hosting the drill and for their continued partnership!

This evening around 5pm, Nanuet EMS and Rockland Paramedic Services Medic 3 responded to the Palisades Parkway Southbound at mile marker 20.0 for a reported rollover motor vehicle accident. It was found that a vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree in the median. The sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to Westchester Medical Center with significant injuries and 2 occupants of the other vehicle involved refused medical attention on scene. The Nanuet Fire Department and New York State Police also responded.

This morning around 9:20am, Nanuet EMS and Rockland Paramedic Services Medic 5 were dispatched to the Palisades Interstate Parkway Northbound just North of Exit 9E for an MVA with reported entrapment and a car fire. Upon arrival, EMS had found that bystanders had extricated the sole occupant of the vehicle and were performing CPR. The victim was transported to Nyack Hospital with life threatening injuries. The Nanuet Fire Department and Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1 responded to extinguish the fire and the New York State Police is on scene investigating the accident.

Last night just prior to 9pm, Nanuet EMS and Rockland Paramedic Services Medic 5 were dispatched to a motorcycle accident with serious injuries at the intersection of Route 59 x Smith Street in Nanuet. While en route, our crew was updated that the Clarkstown Police Department had applied 2 tourniquets to the patients leg. The patient was transported to the landing zone that Nanuet Fire Department set up at the Nanuet High School and was transferred to Air Methods Hackensack Meridian Health AirMed1 who transported to Westchester Medical Center. Thank you to the Clarkstown Police Dispatchers and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office - 911/Communications for their coordination!
