🚨🚨 POOL UPDATE 🚨🚨

Unfortunately, we ran into a few hiccups and will not be opening tomorrow as planned.

The good news is that the pool is almost completely filled, and we are now planning to open this Saturday! 🏊☀️

We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the volunteers who have spent countless hours power washing, painting, cleaning, mowing, and helping prepare the pool for the season. Without their hard work and dedication, opening the pool would not be possible.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and support, and we can’t wait to see you at the pool this weekend!

Nanty Glo Borough will be celebrating its 250th Anniversary of our great country on Saturday, June 27th 2026 @ 1pm The celebration will be held at the Nanty-Glo Firehall.
The Celebration will include local clergy and several distinguished speakers, followed by a town picnic around the firehall. Meals will be served 1:30pm-4:30pm. You can bring a lawn chair and tent or use the tables and chairs set up for everyone.
There will be activities for kids, vendors for the adults and DJ for all to enjoy! The Borough needs an idea of how many meals to prepare for and so we are asking that you buy a $1.00 ticket in advance. There will be no take outs, just eat in so please only buy a ticket for those who will be attending. That way all who attend will be sure to get a meal.

🚨 Pool Update! 🚨

We know everyone is excited for pool season — and trust us, we are too! ☀️💦

Unfortunately, the pool paint was hard to get our hands on! The good news is that it is scheduled to arrive on June 1st!

Once the pool is painted, the paint must fully cure before we can begin filling the pool. and that will take a few days.
After that:
💧 We fill the pool!!
🧪 Then the water must be balanced
✔️ A water sample must be approved

Right now, we are projecting an opening date of June 10th! Thank you for your patience as we work hard to make sure everything is safe, clean, and ready for an amazing summer season.

Nanty Glo Borough is accepting applications for a position on the Nanty Glo Borough Road crew. Applicants should have experience in operating a backhoe, skid steer, dump truck, and other equipment. Snow plowing, welding, street paving and general equipment and building repair experience preferred. Supervisory skills are a plus. Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required. Applications should be mailed to Nanty Glo Borough 1015 First Street, Nanty Glo, PA 15943 or dropped off at that location. Deadline for applications is May 19, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
