The Library started building a close relationship with dinosaurs in late winter when we advertised our summer reading program registration! Thanks to the Nanty Glo Moose Lodge we were financially able to go “dinosaur wild” and purchase all things dinosaur! Volunteers were secured and we were on our way to a very rewarding program. June 1st quickly rolled around and an overwhelming number of kiddos were thankfully welcomed by the Nanty Glo Firemen to use their Firehall because our little building was just too small. Dr. Annie Tackas sparked a deep interest in being a good dinosaur caregiver and the rest of the summer was a whirlwind adventure through prehistoric times. From day one it was a blast ! From dinosaur storytelling to actually holding 300,000-500,000 year old dinosaur teeth it was a summer not soon to be forgotten! We have put the dinosaurs to bed and washed the Dino art work from our windows but the memories are forever ! A huge “thank you” to everyone who made our summer reading program one for the history books.

Thursday, September 24th @10:30 marks the beginning of a new adventure at our Library. AGELESS MINDS will hold its first get together! AGELESS MINDS is a program of mind stimulation for 50 and older adults. The group is limited (right now) to 10 people and you must register. There’s no fee, just limited space. Our mission is to provide opportunities for people to engage their mind doing fun activities. Please follow the posted opportunities that provide guidance in dealing with issues of the “Seasoned” soul. 🥰

It was suggested that perhaps if I posted pictures of the unacceptable books in our Little Library people would have a better idea of what to avoid !
