🇺🇸🏈 FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS • A NIGHT OF HONOR & REMEMBRANCE 🏈🇺🇸

Join us Friday, September 11th, as the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans take on the Tunkhannock Tigers for a very special evening under the lights.

Before the game, we will pause to honor and remember the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, with a special:

❤️🤍💙 SALUTE TO FIRST RESPONDERS & MILITARY PERSONNEL TRIBUTE ❤️🤍💙

We will recognize the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our communities and our country — including firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, military personnel, veterans, and all first responders. All First Responders, Military Personnel and Veterans will be free admission for this event.

The National Anthem will be performed by Christine Palmer, a member of the Wyoming Valley Pipes and Drum Band.

We will also come together as a community for a moment of silence to honor the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

We invite all current and retired first responders, active-duty military members, veterans, and military families to join us and be recognized during the ceremony.

Please arrive early and help us make this a meaningful night of remembrance, gratitude, unity, and patriotism.

Our GNA school blood drive may be limited to students and faculty, but our entire Greater Nanticoke community can help!

Parents, grandparents, alumni, family members, friends, and community supporters can donate blood at the Miller-Keystone Blood Center – Pittston Donor Center and give credit to Greater Nanticoke Area High School.

The Greater Nanticoke Area School District is seeking a head coach for its boys and girls swim teams. The coach will be responsible for all aspects of the GNA swim program that is a co-op programs that includes boys and girls from grades 9 through 12 in the Greater Nanticoke Area and Hanover Area school districts. Experience is required, and the successful candidate must provide all required clearances prior to being hired. GNA is an EOE. The deadline for applications is September18, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

Interested persons should submit a letter of interest along with their resume and references to:

Our Greater Nanticoke Area Back to School Bash was a HUGE success, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our community! 🎉

A very special THANK YOU to:

👏 Our amazing community for coming out and supporting the event
👏 All of our wonderful vendors and food trucks
👏 Our booster clubs and school clubs who helped make the day so much fun
👏 The GNA staff and everyone who volunteered their time and hard work today
👏 And a HUGE thank you to our Maintenance Department for all of their help before, during, and after the event. Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

It truly takes a village to put an event like this together, and today showed just how special the Greater Nanticoke Area community is. 💙❤️
