For February of 2017, it seems that we have a pattern going on of two employees being voted Employee of the Month! This months employees are Scott Powada (aka Scotty P.) and Leroy Anderson!

Scott, or as he’s known at Phoenix, Scotty P, has been with the Phoenix team since April 2015. He has been in the Fire Sprinkler industry for almost 5 years. Scotty P. started the Apprentice Program in February in 2016. He is another promising future fitter here at Phoenix by showing he can run his own jobs as well as teaching new employees and other apprentices. Scotty P. was voted Employee of the Month for his great work ethic and hard work. He’s always wanting to teach others and always leading by example. He also has a great attitude and keeps everyone’s spirits high even when under stress. When he’s not on the job, he is usually writing songs and preforming in his band, The Alleged.

Leroy has been our Field Superintendent since December 2014 but has been in the Fire Sprinkler industry for almost 35 years! He started as a ground guy in 1986 after being Honorably Discharged from the Army. Leroy received his Idaho Fitters License in 1990 and also received his NICET III in 2010. While Leroy might seem a little rough around the edges, but he has one of the biggest hearts at Phoenix! Leroy was voted Employee of the Month because of his willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. He is also very helpful and takes apprentices under his wing to show them the tricks of the trade. He has a great attitude and an even better sense of humor! When Leroy isn’t busy being the boss in the field, he’s most likely out on the lake fishing with our other Foremen.

With the new year came new Employees of the Month! Please congratulate Jacob Hernandez and Aaron Trimble on being January 2017 Employees of the Month.

Jacob joined the Phoenix team in May of 2016. He quickly became a wonderful addition to our team and works hard every single day to make Phoenix a success. He started the Apprentice Program in November of 2016 and has shown the drive to be another licensed fitter here! Jacob was voted Employee of the Month because he is a go getter and is always keeping busy. He asks great questions and uses the knowledge from those questions to teach others. Outside of Phoenix, Jacob is known as the “Master of Chess” and is usually showing off his chess skills to anyone willing to sit down and go against him.

Aaron joined the Phoenix team in October 2013. He worked both in the field and in the shop before becoming Shop Forman during the summer of 2015. He has become a wonderful Shop Forman and because of him, we are able to get pipe and other materials ready to go for the field. Aaron was voted Employee of the Month because he is a great teacher and is the first to train all of our new employees. He always does what is needed and is reliable when pipe needs to get ready to go out to our guys in the field. Aaron also has a great attitude and is always making jokes to make everyone around him laugh. When he’s not running the shop, Aaron is most likely out on a lake fishing.

December 2016 was the first run of our Employee of the Month! We had a tie between 2 of our awesome employees! Jeremy Vienola and Brad Westbrook were voted as our first Employees of the Month.

Jeremy joined the Phoenix team in January 2015. He has been in the Fire Sprinkler business since 2005 and started his apprenticeship for his Idaho Fitters License in 2006. On January 26th, 2016, he became a Licensed Fitter in the State of Idaho and also became our Forman for our projects in Twin Falls, ID. Jeremy was voted Employee of the Month for his hard work and being able to get things done when under pressure with a level head. He is also very helpful to our up and coming apprentices in the field and always willing to answer their questions. Jeremy always has a great attitude and keeps his guys in a positive attitude. When Jeremy isn’t working out in the field, you will find him up in the mountains fishing or hunting.

Brad joined the Phoenix team in April 2016 and has quickly excelled in the art of Fire Sprinklers. He started the Apprentice Program in September of 2016 and has shown to be our next up and coming licensed fitter. Brad was voted Employee of the Month for his energetic and upbeat attitude. He always has a smile on his face and keeps a positive attitude no matter what. Brad is always spreading his positivity to his coworkers and anyone else around him. If he’s not out in the field busting his butt, he’s most likely out shooting paintballs!

In December of last year, Phoenix Fire Protection started doing Employee of the Month, voted on by their fellow co workers. Starting the beginning of every month, we will be announcing our Employee of the Month! We will be working on uploading our previous Employee of the Month this week.
