The National Weather Service has issued a TORNADO WATCH for our area until 7am.
Currently, there is a line of storms out west moving our direction. These storms will likely move through our area between 3am and 7am. "Quick Spin-Up Tornadoes" or embedded mesovorticies are possible. There is also an enhanced straight-line wind threat.

Texas Local Government Code 352.081 governs the perimeters by which a burn ban can be ordered by the commissioners court. Currently Van Zandt County along with surrounding counties do not meet the conditions.

With that said,

*** outdoor burning is NOT recommended and a HIGH potential for fire danger is present. Please do not burn outdoors. This notice will extend through the next few days as long as high winds and high fire danger threats exist.***
