Summer is here! ☀️🏖️

With Memorial Day Weekend symbolizing the official start of summer, we wanted to share a few beach safety tips before you hit the sand!

🌊 Always swim near a lifeguard
🚩 Pay attention to beach warning flags and ocean conditions
💧 Stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat
👟 Wear shoes on hot sand to protect your feet
☀️ Don’t forget sunscreen, even on cloudy days
👀 Keep a close eye on children near the water at all times

Our lifeguards are ready for a safe and busy summer season here in Myrtle Beach. Whether you’re visiting for the weekend or spending the whole summer with us, we’re excited to see you out on the beach!

Yesterday marked the official opening day for North Beach and South Strand! ☀️🏖️

In North Beach, we are currently servicing areas north of the Apache Pier. In South Strand, we are now operating in the Ocean Lakes and Myrtle Beach Resort areas.

With sunny weather in the forecast this weekend, it’s the perfect time to hit the beach. We hope to see you out there enjoying the sunshine!

A little bit of a gloomy day today and a cloudy weekend forecast ahead here in Myrtle Beach, but rest assured our lifeguards are still on duty and keeping an eye on you.

We have a beach hazards statement today from for a strong south to north longshore current and a moderate risk for rip currents. Please remember to swim near a lifeguard and stay safe!

We are SO back! 😎

That's right, lifeguards and Myrtle Beach's Ocean Rescue and Beach Patrol are back out on the beach! Today, April 15, is the official start date for Lack's Beach Service and John's Beach Service. The Myrtle Beach Fire Department has had rescue swimmers out since the end of March, and Beach Patrol stays out year-round!

Rescue teams will be out on patrol or in their stands through the summer. So if you're heading to the beach this summer, remember to always swim near a lifeguard! 🏊

Earlier this week, our former North Beach Manager, Joe Beach, rang the bell and is officially done with Chemotherapy and Radiation! 🔔💛

Joe served as our North Beach Manager for many years and will always be considered family here at Lack’s. With incredible support from his peers and the GoFundMe community, he was able to overcome this diagnosis. He said, “it was a tough 33 days, but I am winning”!
