This Wednesday, the Rotary Club of Carolina Forest had the pleasure of hearing from Amy Flora with the Horry County Council on Aging. Amy shared an inspiring look at the many ways the Council supports seniors in our community - from home‑delivered meals and transportation services to wellness programs and social activities that help older adults stay connected and independent.

Her passion for serving Horry County’s senior population was evident throughout her presentation, and our club truly appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the impact the Council makes every day.

Great meeting yesterday! We were honored to welcome Grady Gambrell from The Arc of Horry Inc , who gave us an inspiring look into the work they’re doing to empower individuals and families in our area. Another great Smart Snacks Friday. Our club teamed up with a fantastic group of Interact and Rotaract club members and other students to pack meals for local kids, and their energy made the work fly by.
