"He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding." Daniel 2:21 This passage reminds us that God is sovereign over rulers and elections are in His sovereign hands. Although disappointed in the results I thank Mrs. Tracy Winters and Mr. JD Davis for a well run campaign. It was an issued oriented campaign that was never negative. I want to do what I can to help Mrs. Tracy Winters win in November. We need her on the Board.
I hope the Horry County School Board will permit me and others to help move us forward on the issues we saw. We must listen to the primary stake holders, parents, and we must address the moral issues facing our children and grandchildren. Public education in America today is facing many challenges. I trust all of us will do what we can to help young people flourish in their homes and careers.

We are in the final home stretch of this campaign and I have made many new friends. Horry County has many patriots who deeply care about this county, state, and country. We must be ever vigilant even when there is no elections taking place.
I am glad that the school board elections are partisan and all elections in South Carolina should be partisan in the interest of truth, transparency, and integrity. Candidates affiliating with the principles of a political party informs the voters up front what that candidate believes when they first announce their candidacy. I hope you will vote "yes," on the Advisory Question on your ballot to make all elections in South Carolina partisan.
The surprising aspect of this campaign is that contenders for the school board have been campaigning as if the race is non-partisan. They have avoided mentioning issues that people in the community have been asking. The issues of pronoun usage in the schools, the use of inappropriate books and literature that advocate for homosexuality and transgenderism. Why the silence? These are issues which the Republican Party has come out against. I do not believe the schools should be involved in the promulgation of any of this. The schools should go no further than what SC law requires which is the teaching of abstinence and biology. I hope after the elections are over that the citizens of Horry County will maintain vigilance and involvement in what transpires in the schools. These children deserve a future that is guided honest and wholesome values.
