My insights on last nights elections- whatever it's worth
1. There are no purple states only red & blue
2. Americans have short term memory- they forgot the devastation of the 1st bombing of the World Trade Center and then 9/11- the 20+ year war in iraq & Afghanistan- otherwise how could they elect a communist muslim to run the largest capitalist city in America- NYC; a muslim as LTGOV of VA; AG of VA who texts about killing people he disagrees with.
3. the Republican Party needs to look at last night and note:
1- the above note about states
- focus on red states and light red states, and light blue counties to win votes.
2- Constantly remind the US Citizens/ voters that the GOP stands for & produces
- jobs
- bringing down costs by cutting regulations & red tape
-housing stabilization/ affordable housing by assuring only those who qualify receive this benefit and builders have to build a certain percentage of affordable housing when building communities. This should be in all 50 states as well as mandatory green space and land with dollars put aside for schools, fire & police, and hospitals.
-safety- support the police and citizens by making sure police are trained, paid and supported and citizens have the police and tools to keep them safe
-education- teachers educate and not indoctrinate; school choice so children can go where they will thrive; religion, s*x, social issues are for the family to teach not for school
4-electing leaders
- federal & state- leaders need to adhere to term limits and not plan on being in office for many decades; groom and mentor their replacement; be more available at local levels
- local GOP & clubs- elect young leaders that are the faces of the future; resonate with our young voters; elder leaders should step aside; be consultants and advisors. The Young Republicans are the future and who will reach voters and be the face of our party & country.
-welcome new people, dialogue and ideas- we are changing .& evolving and unless the party grasps this we will never have a huge majority or hold onto leadership for long periods of time. New people to your area are not outsiders but creative thinkers bringing new and innovative ideas.
We have 6 months to primary and 1 year to mid-term election. We all need to be involved! Our country, our children, our family & friends are dependent on keeping our country a capitalist Republic- freedom! God Bless America
