Every detail matters when it comes to serving our community safely and effectively. Regular maintenance ensures our trucks and equipment are ready to respond at a moment’s notice — because emergencies don’t wait. Last night members gathered to ensure some of our small equipment is cleaned, greased, and working properly. A big thank you to the dedicated volunteers who give their time behind the scenes to keep everything response-ready. 🚒🔧

Training Together for Better Service 🚒🔥

This morning, WVFC volunteers and DFRS staffing assigned to the Wolfsville Fire Station had the opportunity to train alongside surrounding companies on rural water supply operations and tanker shuttle scenarios. These trainings are essential in areas without hydrant systems, helping ensure crews can efficiently deliver water during large-scale incidents.

Working together allows neighboring departments to strengthen coordination, improve communication, and sharpen the skills needed to protect our communities when seconds count.

We would like to thank all participating departments and personnel who took the time to train and prepare together as well as the Frederick YMCA for allowing us to use their grounds. Strong partnerships and continued training help make our region safer for everyone.
Those who participated:
-Career Staffing assigned to Wolfsville and Myersville fire stations
-Wolfsville Fire Company volunteers
-DFRS Battalion Chief
-Federal Firefighters from government installations in the area.
-Career staffing assigned to Braddock Heights fire station provided coverage of the area to allow units to train with minimal interruption.
