After removing the 287g program from the State of Maryland in the opening weeks of Session, the Senate Democrats have moved another reckless policy closer to making it a crime for our local corrections officers to notify Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) upon arrest of an illegal immigrant for ANY CRIME, including MURDER, R**E. and S*X OFFENSES!!!
This is not the "Community Trust Act" but the Community Endangerment Act! Signed, sealed and delivered with an unannounced vote by committee, not recorded (audio or video) for the public consumption. This is NOT TRUST! This is ABUSE OF POWER! This is RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT of OUR COMMUNITIES!
