🤠 Mustang Western Days! 🐴

We loved seeing so many of our Riverwood kids, families, and staff out celebrating this special Mustang tradition! From riding bulls and being part of the parade to winning races and art competitions, our Riverwood crew was out there having fun and representing! ❤️🖤

We love being part of the Mustang community and seeing our Bronco family show up for events like this!

Horns were honked. 📣
Sirens rang out. 🚨
Lights flashed. ✨
Laughter filled the air.
Squeals of delight were everywhere! 💛

And, of course, there were plenty of sticky hands and faces thanks to Kona Ice! 🍧😋

A HUGE thank you to OKC Fire Department, Mustang Transportation, OKC Police Department, DOC Enterprises, Dolese Concrete, and all of the incredible local organizations and community members who brought their vehicles, equipment, time, and smiles for our kids to enjoy.

What a night! ❤️ We are so grateful for a community that shows up for our kids!

📚✨ A little taste of ALL the books!

Third grade kicked off the 10 Book Challenge with a little book tasting! 🍽️📖 Each classroom served up a different genre, giving students a chance to sample something new and maybe find their next “I can’t put this down” book. 👀

The goal? Hook kids on reading and help them find books they LOVE. 💙📚

Pre-K is learning all about the letter A, and today it was all about APPLES! 🍏🍎

Our little learners used their fine-motor skills to count out yellow, green, and red apples for their pies. Then came the best part… they got to choose their very own crust! 🥧✨

🎉📚 Our First Birthday Book Club Kiddos! 📚🎉

We celebrated our very first round of Birthday Book Club members with our August birthdays! 🥳

Each birthday kiddo got to visit the library, choose a brand-new book, and be the very first student to check it out! Their special book is dedicated to the Riverwood Library from them, leaving a little piece of their birthday behind for other Broncos to enjoy for years to come. ❤️📖

They also received a Birthday Book Club cup filled with a few birthday surprises! 🎁🎂

We’re excited to start something NEW this year at Riverwood with the PTSO! Each month, we’re reaching out to local businesses in our community to see if they would be willing to donate a gift card to help us celebrate and recognize our amazing Teachers and Staff that are being recognized that month! 💙

We are so thankful to Bricktown Brewery Mustang for being our first local business partner and helping us kick off this new tradition! Your support means so much to our teachers and our Riverwood community. 🥰

Congratulations to our August Teachers, Ms.Dyer and Ms.Jordan! 🎉🍎 We are so grateful for everything you do for our students and school!
