Spotlight 🌟
Meet Ashlynn Wallace, Mustang High School Class of 2024.
Ashlynn still calls Mustang home, but she has a clear vision for where she hopes her education will take her.
She currently works from home as a customer service associate with Farmers Insurance while taking online classes at Redlands Community College. Ashlynn is working toward an associate degree in psychology and plans to transfer to UCO to continue her education, eventually earning a master’s degree in forensic psychology.
Her ultimate goal? To become a forensic psychologist and work with the FBI.
Outside of work and school, Ashlynn enjoys spending time with her two sisters, writing, reading, and traveling.
Looking back on her years at Mustang Public Schools, some of the relationships Ashlynn values most began long before high school. She still has friendships that date back to elementary school and says those lasting connections remain incredibly important to her.
She also credits Mr. Payne at Mustang Middle School with making a significant impact on the student she became.
“He truly helped me grow as a student by encouraging me to try my hardest and pushing me to be the best I could be. I have always cherished the connection we built, and we still keep in touch today.”
Ashlynn previously shared some advice for current students that seems especially fitting as she works toward some pretty big goals of her own:
👉 Do not be so hard on yourself. Always try your best, but remember that nobody is perfect. It is okay to make mistakes because there is always room to learn, grow, and improve.
We are proud to see Ashlynn continuing her education, pursuing an ambitious career goal, and carrying the relationships and lessons she built at MPS into her next chapter. ❤️🖤
