Reminder: The burn ban is absolutely ON. Please continue to refrain from outdoor burning. Outdoor burning does not include grilling in an enclosed pit...but please do not leave grills unattended and have a water source handy.

Other best practices for wildfire prevention include:

- Making sure your tow chains are secure if you're towing a boat or trailer.

- Using an ashtray to dispose of ci******es rather than flicking them out the window.

-Avoiding welding and idling vehicles in dry grass.

Through funding from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance, Caldwell County Veteran Services will once again be able to provide qualifying Veterans and their families with financial assistance during times of need.
