The mission of the Muskogee Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life in the town by providing the best possible recreational facilities, open natural spaces, and programs for its citizens. The primary service is to provide opportunities for enriching the lives and meeting the recreational needs of Muskogee citizens. The expressed purpose of the Muskogee Parks and Recreatio

n Department is to maintain and develop facilities and programs to provide a well rounded, wholesome program of leisure time activities for the people residing in the community. EYES UP MUSKOGEE! BALLOONS ARE BACK!

Visit Muskogee and Muskogee Parks and Recreation are proud to present the Muskogee Hot Air Balloon Festival set for August 21-22, 2026 at Hatbox Event Park!

This year’s event will feature:
• Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides
• Nightly Hot Air Balloon Glow
• Nightly fireworks display
• Free Kid Zone
• Food trucks and local vendors
• Live Music

Nightly General Admission is $20 per vehicle. Premium Parking is available for $30 nightly or $55 for the weekend

The Muskogee Hot Air Balloon Festival is expected to draw visitors from throughout the region and provide a major boost for local tourism and businesses, as well as a slew of fun. Additional event details, schedules, and updates can be found at VisitMuskogee.com
