All crews have returned to the station shortly before 4:00 this morning, we have quite a bit of damage in our district, please avoid areas where power crews are working, currently south country club is closed between peak blvd & sally brown rd and will be for several hours. West smith ferry has several crews working in the area as well.

A dry cold front will pass through Oklahoma today over very dry wildland fuels spiking fire danger indices this afternoon. Any going fire will be challenged by the clockwise wind shift coupled with increasing wind speeds placing emphasis on the eastern and southern flanks of wildfires.

Recent fire activity will also be challenged by a different wind direction and strong wind speeds meriting thorough patrol and mop up efforts this morning.

🔥Report any suspected wildfire activity to 911.
Avoid areas where wildfire activity is ongoing and do not drive into smoke.
🔥Heed evacuation notifications from local authorities.
🔥Please avoid any activity that may spark a wildfire!

We would like to remind everyone of the extremely dry conditions we are currently experiencing, this morning @ 07:45 a.m. we was dispatched to a burn pile that escaped control of the homeowner and spread to a travel trailer and outbuilding, high fire danger rest of week.

Tomorrow will be a critical fire chance. Be vigilant on any types of open flames such as charcoal grills, smokers, and propane grills. Recreational fires will not be allowed during these days of high fire chances. Please help us keep our community safe! All illegal burning will be met with the full extent the law will allow. We thank you for your help keeping Muskogee safe and for the safety of our firefighters!
