Interested in a new skate park in Downtown Muskegon? Come through the Central Fire Station (770 Terrace St) tonight (11/30, 5:30-7pm) to learn more about this project and provide input.

The City of Muskegon's Skate Park meeting is going forward for Tuesday Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the Central Fire Station training room, 770 Terrace. Due to increasing COVID-19 concerns, all those at the meeting will need to wear a mask. The room will be set up for social distancing. Those wishing to provide input may do so by email or telephone (see the attached flyer).

Did you know you can also VOTE TODAY - SAT, OCT 30 - at City Hall (933 Terrace St)? Stop by the City Clerk's Office until 4pm to vote in-person absentee!

On Election Day - TUES, NOV 2 - polls across the city are open from 7AM until 8PM.

Do you have a voting plan? The election is Tuesday November 2, but did you know you can vote early? The City Clerk’s office is closed Friday but open Saturday from 8 am until 4 pm. You can also register to vote up until 8 pm on Election Day. Go to City Hall with ID or proof of residency and they will register you right there.
If you haven’t returned your absentee ballot you may want to turn it in to the drop box or clerk’s office rather than mail it in.
Finally, if you need a ride to the polls, let us know and we will help you get there. Let’s do this!

Well-stated, Dr. Dale Nesbary, and well-deserved on your Impact Award from the Community Foundation for Muskegon County. Grateful for the impact you've had on our community!

“Anyone has the capacity to have a major impact,” said Dr. Nesbary. “Everywhere I’ve lived, I’ve never seen people with more capacity than here. Do the work. Don’t assume that a small community means you can’t do it. You have the capacity. Find the right people and focus on what you want to accomplish. Be the change you want to see.”

Dr. Dale Nesbary is the recent recipient of the first ever Impact Award, which was presented at our annual gathering to Celebrate Impact on October 7, 2021.

The City of Muskegon is partnering with a private property owner, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Michigan Municipal League to further the redevelopment of 1144 Third in Downtown Muskegon's Midtown. Developers are being sought and Requests for Developer Qualifications are due Dec. 17.

The former Oldsmobile dealership property at 1144 Third has the potential to set the course for Midtown for generations and be the link between the city's urban neighborhoods, downtown and the waterfront.
