Some members are receiving emails impersonating members of our leadership team requesting that they purchase gift cards to be used as prizes or incentives for precinct delegates. This is a SCAM.

The Democratic Party will never ask you to purchase gift cards or make payments through any tool other than ActBlue via email. If you receive an email you are unsure of, please reach out to the "sender" immediately via phone call to double check before acting on it. The County Party phone number is 231-335-7515.

A good tip for all emails to help prevent this kind of thing: Even if the email image and name in the "from" line look familiar, always check the email address in the "from" line to ensure it's familiar, and not a random email address you've never seen before. Muskegon County Dems emails will come from [email protected] or from our MailChimp account.

In a power point presentation to fellow MAGAs recently in Muskegon, a West Michigan Republican made the party’s real strategy painfully clear: they will take votes from non Christians, independents, and minorities if they happen to get them, but they are not interested in actually reaching those voters.
In other words, the message was simple. If you are not already part of their white Christian right wing base, they do not really care about you. It is a deliberate choice to double down on exclusion, grievance, and a movement that seems more interested in shrinking into itself than building a coalition.
