April is National 911 Education Month. Established by the U.S. Congress in 2008, this month focuses on educating the public about the role we all play in effective emergency response.

911 is more than a phone call, it’s a critical connection to help in moments that matter most. Understanding when to call, what information to provide, and the capabilities available in your area, such as text-to-911 and Enhanced 911, can make a real difference in an emergency.

It’s also a time to recognize and thank the dedicated public safety telecommunicators who answer those calls. Their calm voices, quick thinking, and professionalism help guide people through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. At MPSCS, we are proud to support the systems and people who make that life-saving connection possible.
