Community Service - assisting others in the community.
- Visit

s to nursing homes/hospitals/in home visits
- Donations to cancer programs and fundraisers
- Birthday month visits to Grand Rapids VA home to our adopted floor
- Donations of wheel chairs, walkers, canes, crutches, etc., to disabled Veterans
- Safety programs - install smoke detectors for elderly and disabled
- Community awareness
- Relief program to veterans in need
- Poppy sales/program to help our hospitalized veterans
- Voice of Democracy program

Projects and programs of service to community

- Christmas parties for local elementary school classes
- School visits or doing interviews with students
- Nursing home flag presentations and visits
- Blood drives
- Participate in cancer walks/programs
- Safety - fire, bike or driving
- Old flag disposal receptacle at post
- Holiday festivities
- Military rites for funerals
- Bell ringing for Salvation Army during Christmas season
- Christmas baskets and toys for needy families
- Visits from the Grand Rapids VA Home
- Christmas bazaar/hot dinners
- Community Awareness Day
- Post dinners
- Participation in local parades
- Conducts public Memorial Day services-

Sunrise Memorial Gardens May 28th to place flags on graves and on the 31 st a memorial Service

VOICE OF DEMOCRACY PROGRAM

Voice of Democracy scholarship program is designed to give high school students the opportunity to voice their opinions on their responsibility to our country. The program is open to tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade students; they must have a US Citizenship. We as Veterans should always be supportive to the young people in their quest in understanding of why they have the freedoms they do in this beautiful country of ours.

POST MEMBERS/FRIENDS: On Friday November 1, 2019 at 2 pm. William J Beal VFW Post 446 Muskegon will dedicate a new monument and bench to the Veterans Memorial Park located on the causeway in Muskegon. For further information please contact Post 446 Commander Gary White at (231) 788-5746.

General Membership Meeting is Wednesday 7pm at Post 7729 on Apple Avenue. Asking for as many members as possible to attend even if you never attended one. Wednesday definitely will determine the FATE of our POST. If you truly don't care then don't show up as usual! If are concerned about the lively hood of the post than make an effort to attend. Thank You For Your Patronage.

Graveside Funeral Services for WWII Veteran Clifford Wisti is going to be on Tuesday 9 April 2019at 10 a.m.. The Muskegon Marine Corps League Detachment 703 will be conducting Military Rights. If at all possible please attend to honor one of last WWII Veterans of the Post.

A sad day for our Post. Cliff Wisti a WWII Marine Veteran passed away the 1st of April 2019. His obituary should be in Thursday's paper. Our prayers 🙏🙏 are with his family and friends!

General Membership Meeting for Post 446 is Wednesday the 27th of March. Request max participation for this meeting. The Post needs all the support we can get. At least come and vote on possible options we have left. It is still your Post!
