The Drain Commissioner has done it. The Ribe Drain from Twin Lake to Bear Creek is being turned into a Habitat for Fish at the Cost to those on the Drain of 5 to 6 million dollars. The County will be responsible for at least 20% of that. There isn't anything any one can do about it. She got the MDEQ involved nd this drove the cost for a simple drain issue at the lake with a Long culvert needing maintenance, to a huge Multi million dollar project.Turning a Drain ditch into a trout stream with rocks and landscaping. There was a 75ft drop from the Lake to the creek. Culverts will be dropped all the way and Millions spent on a make work project that will put people out of their homes for the expense of the assessments they can't afford.
The County Commissioners are partly to blame for maintaining silence at her actions in a law suit last year. The press is also to blame for ignoring the impact she is having on County wide tax assessments with her eagerness to make her own mark on the County with her own personal agenda to turn drainage ditches into trout streams.
