Spring Break starts next week—let’s see those park plans!

We know Michigan spring can be a little unpredictable, but that won’t stop us from getting outside. Muskegon Township parks are ready for basketball games, playground adventures, skate park runs, and everything in between.

Whether you’ve got an hour or a whole afternoon, it’s the perfect week to get some fresh air and let the kids burn off some energy.

❄️ The snow may still be hanging around, but we all know how this goes… it won’t be long before it melts away and our parks are buzzing again! ☀️

Skate park sessions, stick time at the hockey rink, baseball, soccer on the fields, playground laughs, and so much more are just around the corner. ⚽⚾🏒🛹

🌷 Spring is coming — and park fun is coming soon! Don’t forget to Spring Forward on Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 AM.

Booth Size: 12x12

Vendors and crafters interested in participating are encouraged to apply. Applications and fees must be received by May 28, 2026 to secure your space.

If you need someplace to get warm on Friday, check out Muskegon Heights, Muskegon Township, and Norton Shores Branches of MADL. They will have shelf stable meals from Kids' Food Basket FREE for anyone to take.

🎄 Muskegon Township Christmas Tree Update 🎄

Last year, our community Christmas tree was damaged after being knocked over in a winter storm. This year, we’re excited to share that the artificial tree has been replaced with a planted Fraser Fir! It currently stands about 7–8 feet tall and will grow to nearly 50 feet over the years—a lasting symbol of tradition and community right here at Township Hall.

The tree will still be decorated and lit for the holiday season, but due to ongoing renovations at Township Hall (including very limited parking) and the newly planted tree, Muskegon Township will not be hosting a tree lighting ceremony this year. We fully expect to bring this event back in 2026 once renovations are complete and the tree is more established.

If you’d like to visit, the tree will be decorated and the lights will be on by December 5th. We invite you to stop by, enjoy the lights, and share a little holiday spirit with us.

🎃👷‍♀️ Muskegon Charter Township Trick or Treat at Township Hall Event! 👷‍♂️🍬

📅 Thursday, October 30, 2025 | 4–6 PM
📍 Muskegon Township Hall – Newly Updated Board Room & Back Parking Lot

We’re excited to welcome everyone back for our annual Trick or Treat at Township Hall—this year with a twist! Our 2025 theme is “Under Construction” 🚧, and we can’t wait to see your creativity in action.

This year’s event will take place inside the newly updated Muskegon Township Board Room, with some community partners set up in the back parking lot to keep the fun flowing. Please note that several Township offices will be closed and blocked off during the event to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

👉 We’re currently have space for up to two more community partners to join us in passing out candy! If you’d like to participate, please contact Treasurer Theile at [email protected]
