14 days to Election Day!

Enjoyed a couple of events. I attended the Muskegon Recreation Planning Meeting in Norton Shores. Bob Lukens presented a 5 year plan for our parks. My main takeaways were, we have some fantastic parks in Muskegon County, they need a maintenance plan, and there are some great ideas for improvement. Lastly, funding sources are critical and the approval of this plan is needed to apply for state grants.

I attended one of my favorite events, the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association Volleyball Tourney. Mona Shores was victorious against Fruitport. The play was fantastic and highly competitive. It reminded me of my days coaching against some Vball legends, like Karel Bailey, Ted Edsall, Karel Bailey, Kyle Kurant, and Trent Smillie.

Lastly, spent another few hours walking and talking to my neighbors in Norton Shores. I enjoy the conversation about what is important to them and trying message to them to Vote Dan Potts.

Only 3 weeks until election day.

I wanted to take the time to highlight that I am the only candidate for the Muskegon county commissioner who is a resident of Norton Shores.

Norton Shores is the 2nd largest city in the county and needs to be represented.

I have lived in and invested in, and raised my family in Norton Shores and Roosevelt Park for the past 30 years. I have coached different youth sports and served on the Mona Shores school board.

I will continue to advocate for this great city. Please take the time to vote for Dan Potts, on or before November 5th and please share with a few friends.

Read Muskegon is hosting a candidate forum on October 1st at Hackley Public Library, 316 W Webster, Muskegon. This event offers a great opportunity to hear candidates discuss adult literacy issues and available programs. Read Muskegon, a nonprofit making a positive community impact, presents the forum. It begins with judicial candidates at 5:30 p.m., followed by county commissioners at 6:30 p.m. and Michigan House of Representatives candidates at 7:30 p.m. The previous forum significantly impacted me, inspiring ongoing advocacy and volunteer work for literacy issues. The campaign continues w SIGNs! Yard signs, big signs, and positive signs when I knock doors and talk to voters in Norton Shores and Roosevelt Park. I appreciate all the support and encouragement. My team continues to be awesome.

Enjoyable Saturday celebrating Logan’s Birthday. We did a little campaigning at the Arts and Drafts Event at Ross Park. Well organized, variety of food choices, and beverages. Nice Line Up of entertainers.

Continued on to The Deck. Electric music and the positive vibes at this place are always sky high. So many tourists enjoying the beach and Muskegon.
