Seaside Elementary School

Seaside Elementary School Home of the Stingrays serving students CD-4th grade Seaside Elementary opened in August, 1996 with 490 students.

Our school is located a mile east of the glorious Atlantic Ocean in Garden City Beach, a charming, coastal community town of locals and transplants. We put up with hurricanes but bask in sunshine and ocean breezes. The surrounding communities from which Seaside Elementary draws its students are rapidly changing. Our community draws many newcomers with the promise of beach life and economic opportu

nity. Our students represent a range of socio-economic homes and ethnicity. Students range widely in their academic preparedness and talents. Seaside Elementary provides a wide range of programs to enrich the lives of all our students. Dedicated teachers and motivated students have drawn their parents and community members into our school to support the educational environment here at Seaside. We deliver strong literacy and numeracy programs, support multiple intelligences, hands-on mathematics and science, and integrated technology to encourage student success.

Dear Seaside Families,

As part of our commitment to meeting the needs of all learners, HCS offers screening and identification for Gifted and Talented (GT) services. Parents wishing to refer their students in grades 3–4 for consideration should complete the 2026–2027 Parent Referral Form. The deadline for referrals is Friday, September 11th, 2026.

CogAT Screening Window: October 2026

Grades 3–4: Parent referral required

Grade 2: All second-grade students will be tested automatically; therefore, no parent referrals are necessary for this grade level.
