What an incredible day! A huge thank you to our amazing community for your generosity, support, and kindness. Because of YOU, we were able to help so many kids have a brighter, happier Christmas this year.

Seeing their smiles, excitement, and pure joy is exactly why this event means so much. Our officers loved spending the evening with these kids—sharing laughs, shopping for gifts, and creating memories they’ll never forget.

To every volunteer, donor, business partner, and family who helped make this possible: we appreciate you more than words can say. Murray truly shows what community looks like. ❤️

Our first night of Shop With a Cop was a great success! We have one more night to go this year. The kids have been very excited, and all the officers have had a great time shopping with them. Thank you all for your donations which make this event possible!

We’ve Wrapped Up Another Successful Shop With a Cop! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that both nights of our annual Shop With a Cop event were a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our incredible community, we were able to help bring joy and Christmas cheer to local kids in need. 🎄🎁

We’re very saddened at the passing of one of our Brothers. Sergeant Starks was a great man. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

It is with great sadness we mourn the loss of retired MPD Sergeant Ricky Starks. Sergeant Starks retired from MPD in 2021. He had previously served as a Calloway County Sheriff's Deputy, a member of Calloway County Fire Rescue, and a United States Marine. Sergeant Starks is remembered as a no-nonsense leader who cared for his officers and loved his community. Please join us in honoring the life and service of Sergeant Ricky Starks.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and are pending at this time.

The final night of Santa, Cops, and Kids 2023 is in the books. Thanks to all the donations, we were able to buy Christmas presents for so many kids this year. Thank you to everyone involved, and we are looking forward to doing it again next year.

Night 1 of our annual Santa, Cops, and Kids event is over. It was a great night getting to shop with kids from our community, getting to know them, and buying them Christmas presents. Thank you to everyone that made tonight possible for the kids, and we are looking forward to our second night.

We had another great year of shopping with local children and getting to know them in our Santa, Cops, and Kids program. We were able to provide presents to so many kids because of your generous donations. Thank you all for your donations, and we look forward to doing it again next year!
