Murray City Police Cadets We are the Murray City Police Cadets! Supervised by Sgt. Kip Davies! High school students working with the Murray Police Department as well as city.

Thank you to everyone to applied to be a Police Cadet for the upcoming year. We truly appreciate your interest in the program. Sadly, we were only allowed to hire a certain number of cadets, but we definitely saw potential in each and every applicant.

The new cadets for the 2017-2018 year are:

We are now accepting applications for the cadet program for 2017-2018! If you are interested in applying, grab an application from Officer Burnside at Murray High or stop by our office in City Hall!

There will be a short meeting on Wednesday, May 3, in the Career Center at Murray High at 2:30 PM. Please come join us if you'd like to get more information about this program!

Over the holiday season, our cadets participated in some fun activities.
This year we had the amazing opportunity to participate in Sub for Santa, where our cadets we able to purchase gifts for families in need. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.
We ended the lovely season with a fun Christmas party!
(Special thanks to Lt. Martin for letting us use the simulator. It was loads of fun for all of us!)

Get to know our cadets!
This is Caterina Zapata. She is 17 and currently a senior at Murray High School. Cat has been a cadet with us since June of this year.
Caterina loves art (ceramics to be more specific). She has a very strong love for animals, especially dogs (she's even vegetarian!). Cat also loves the outdoors and nature. When she's older, she aspires to be a doctor in Seattle.

"My favorite part about being a cadet is that I get to gain new experiences I wouldn't get without being a cadet and I get to enjoy them with people I'm lucky enough to call friends."

Get to know our cadets!
This is Nathan Simmons. He's been a cadet with us since June! He is currently a junior at Murray High School. Nathan enjoys hiking, playing the trumpet, and helping other people. When he grows up, he wants to be a police officer!

"My favorite thing about being a cadet is being able to work alongside the police officers. They're really cool."
