With rivers getting higher and pools opening for the summer season, it’s smart to have a water watcher when around any body of water.
According to National Drowning Prevention Alliance, Water Watchers are responsible adults who agree to actively and constantly supervise children in the water. If you or a loved one volunteer to be a designated Water Watcher, keep in mind the "3 C's" of Supervision, a critical layer of protection:
Close: within an arm's reach
Constant: uninterrupted attention
Capable: can swim & knows CPR
