West Central Electric will be closed on Tuesday, February 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CT to allow our staff to attend the funeral of Mike McQuistion.

Mike began serving as a director at West Central Electric in October 1996 and played an instrumental role in guiding the cooperative through many industry changes during his 29 years on the board. He had a remarkable ability to view challenges from multiple perspectives and never lost sight of the member at the end of the line. His dedication to the co-op and to the community was second to none, and his steady leadership will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time, especially Becky, Zach, Ally, Aven, and Larry and Barb.

Because the frost buildup the last few mornings from the fog, we have had multiple blinks and outages, especially in the Lyman Co area. As the frost sheds from the lines, we do expect more issues in other areas of our system.
