Yesterday, company 5 spent the day at Munhall's 125th anniversary celebration. We participated in a touch a truck event and also ran a booth, informing the public about us, handing out applications, and doing demonstrations of our gear. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hi and talk to us!

We still have plenty of spots open for volunteers, and we are looking for people to fill those spots! Reach out to us via Instagram, Facebook, or at [email protected] for more information, or stop by the firehouse any Thursday at 7pm.

Yesterday around 4PM, Engine and Squad 5 responded to a working house fire in Homestead borough. Crews had heavy fire in the attic space of the home. Upon arrival, 4 members from 5 were sent to the roof to vent the house.

Tower 5 took part in Park Elementary's government day parade. 3rd graders from Park Elementary got to ride in the trucks from the borough building to the elementary school, where after that all the students had the chance to come out and see all the fire apparatus.

Company 5 would like to congratulate our newest interior firefighter, Talal Kusti, who completed his interior firefighter and live burn this past weekend. Talal also saw his first fire in Homestead Sunday night. Congratulations!

Last night 204 Tower responded with a crew of 5 to the 300 block of W. 14th Ave in Homestead for a working fire. Initial units were met with heavy fire in multiple units of a row home. 204 Tower crew assisted in knocking down fire and overhaul. 204 members were on scene for 2 1/2 hours.
