-To the Munford students and community-

A post thats been hard to create:

Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to cover it. After five and a half incredible years serving as the School Resource Officer at Munford Schools, the time has come for me to open another chapter and with that said, I will not be returning this next school year. My last day at the schools will be the last week of June and I’m grateful for a little more time to soak in the memories, the people, and the place that has meant so much to me.

This job has been far more than a post, it’s been a true calling. From early morning greetings to late nights at football games, basketball tournaments, dances, pep rallies, and everything in between even participating in school talent shows. I’ve had a front-row seat to the heartbeat of Munford. I’ve watched students grow into young adults, formed lasting connections with families, and worked alongside some of the most dedicated staff and educators around.

Every game, every hallway conversation, every small moment has added up to something I’ll carry with me long after I turn in my badge. Munford has been more than just where I worked, it became a part of who I am.

The past week has brought a bunch of kind words, shared stories, and even a few tearful extended see ya laters. I can’t thank you all enough for the love and support you’ve shown me. I’m leaving with a full heart.

The good news is the new position is based out of Talladega and you will still see me around every now and then. While I’ll be moving on to a new opportunity, Munford will always hold a special place in my life. Once a Lion, always a Lion. 🦁

Talladega County Sheriffs Office is hosting its 2nd annual Youth Leadership Academy this summer July 14-16 2025.

This is for current 10,11,12 graders, if you are interested in law enforcement or criminal justice this will be a great learning experience and a sneak peak of behind the scenes. We will be putting a limit on attendees so please come get a form from any SRO at Talladega County schools. Deadline will be May 30th and there is no cost for attendees! Hope to see you all there.

Due to a Law Enforcement matter in the Munford area, the Munford schools were put on a Secure Perimeter for precautionary measures. There was no threat or incident at the schools.
