With the addition of one of our newest organizational members, Bentley Ford, as our Digital Strategy and Content Director, we realized our website needed a refresh.

We've built a more user-friendly interface so you can find resources more easily and efficiently. Our goal with this update is to create a space for all voters in Delaware County to find the valuable resources they need to stay informed.

Why do we celebrate Juneteenth???

Juneteenth is a national holiday that celebrates African American emancipation. We celebrate it on June nineteenth because this was the day, in 1865, that Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and ordered all enslaved people in the state to be set free.

While slavery in our nation was not fully abolished until the ratification of the 13th Amendment in December of the same year, 6 months later.

It was signed into legislation as a national holiday in June 2021, but here at the Delaware County Democratic Party, we believe in celebrating diversity every day, always.

Juneteenth holds a special place in our hearts as we celebrate the hard work that took place in the Civil Rights Movement leading up to Juneteenth, and every moment after. Happy Juneteenth from our family to yours!

Did you hear that???

It was the sound of our clubs hitting those golf balls up, up and away at our 51st Annual Delaware County Democratic Golf Fundraiser. We had a great time with a number of our 2026 general election candidates, fantastic volunteers and more than two dozen teams.

We had a great showing at the 51st Annual Delaware County Democratic Golf Fundraiser today at Maplewood Golf Course. We were blessed to have on hand a number of our 2026 general election candidates, world-class volunteers and over two dozen teams of incredible supporters who played golf on what was a beautiful day.

We’re grateful to our sponsors, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 855, the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 4 of Indiana and Kentucky, the Laborers’ International Union of North America Local Union 1112 and the Dale for Indiana Senate campaign.

We also appreciate the many hole sponsors who blanketed the course with well over 175 signs demonstrating their support!
