DATA CENTERS in Delaware County? Not Ken Mace's watch.

Our candidate for county commissioner, Ken Mace, recently published the following article on the controversial issue.

"There are so many things to be learned about how the [data] centers operate and how they affect the areas where they are located, and I feel it's vital that we start out taking baby steps rather than jumping in with both feet."

What are your thoughts on Data Centers in Delaware County? Go read Mace's article to learn more about his at https://www.thestarpress.com/story/opinion/contributors/2026/09/04/letter-data-centers-arent-right-for-delaware-county-indiana/91609266007/?gnt-cfr=1&gca-cat=p&gca-uir=true&gca-epti=z115201p003150c003150e006925v115201d--83--b--83--&gca-ft=243&gca-ds=sophi

A lot of attention has focused on the location and building of data centers. They are large, challenge existing infrastructure and consume lots of resources.

Who's that candidate? It's Cameron Grubbs!

Running for County Clerk, Grubbs wants to ensure your Constitutional Rights are preserved, like being able to vote in a safe and secure election. He aims to bring a warmer, more personal, service-based approach to the office while expanding engagement and accessibility to levels the County has not seen. Grubbs wants to bring back marriage services to Delaware County and ensure people are able to marry those they love. He also hopes to build an information network to raise public awareness of notices and benefit Hoosiers in the area.

Grubbs is a veteran of the Indiana National Guard and Army Reserves who has been an advocate for government accountability, transparency and accessibility in Delaware County for years. He has worked in customer service-based jobs and professions for the past 30 years, which will allow him a perspective to listen to both the employees of the Clerk’s office and those who utilize it in order to maximize service.

"I believe in continuous improvement and finding workable solutions. If officials are not working toward better public service, then they are doing a disservice to you and our communities."

Have you heard about this?

Our 2023 nominee for mayor, Jeff Robinson, published an article in the StarPress. Here's what he has to say:

SEA 1 is being sold as property-tax relief, but what happens when Muncie loses revenue while its long-term financial obligations still have to be paid?

We’re already seeing cuts, and major changes to Indiana’s local income-tax system are still ahead.

Former Muncie City Council President and 2023 Democratic nominee for mayor Jeff Robinson explains why City Hall needs to act now - bringing Democrats and Republicans together, working with experts on Indiana’s new tax system, and developing a public 10-year financial plan.

Muncie can’t afford to wait until the choices get even harder.

Have you heard about this?

John Bartlett, our candidate for State Representative, published the following op-ed article on the red-hot issue of PROPERTY TAXES.

Bartlett argues that the new plan from one of our current representatives, JD Prescott, to replace Property Taxes is worse than the issue we're already facing.

"But instead of fixing the property tax system, our state representative, JD Prescott, is running around the state promoting his plan to replace property tax. People stop listening at this point, thinking, 'I won’t have to pay property tax anymore? Sign me up!'

The problem is that they don’t hear the rest of the poison pill. The cure will be worse than the disease."

Who's that candidate? It's Michael Durrall!

Durall believes we need a bottom-up growth model that focuses on taking care of our current residents. He maintains that only by demonstrating that we can support our existing community will we successfully convince new people and businesses to relocate to Delaware County.

He graduated from Noblesville High School and began a firefighting career in 2008, rising to the rank of Lieutenant in 2022. Outside of work, he actively volunteers his time and skills to support those in need in the community. Looking ahead, he is eager to deepen his involvement in local politics, advocating for enhanced public safety, expanded family resources, and quality educational and union career opportunities within our community.

"I have decided to run for Delaware County Council - District 4 because we are not fully utilizing the resources at our fingertips. Furthermore, when speaking with different communities throughout the county, I consistently hear that people do not feel listened to, represented, or consulted before decisions are made. I want to be their voice."
