DWNTWN ArtsWalk returns Thursday, October 1, bringing an evening packed with art, music, food, and shopping.

Here’s what’s waiting for you:

· Find one-of-a-kind handmade pieces at YART, all $40 or less.
· Step into Muncie’s past with the Echoes of Muncie augmented reality experience created by IDIA Lab The Institute for Digital Intermedia Arts at Ball State University.
· Cheer on 20 finalists at the DWNTWN IDOL Finale and see who takes home the $500 prize.
· Dig into the return of the Soup Crawl benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana.

Grab a bite from local restaurants and food trucks, catch live music and explore downtown shops along the way.

The fabulousness just keeps coming! If you have not checked out the Brown Family Amphitheater, this is a great opportunity to do so!

One concert down, 2 MORE TO GO! The Muncie Three Trails Music Series at Ball State Unviersity is back THIS SATURDAY at Brown Family Amphitheater with Grammy winning mariachi band Flor de Toloache!

This FREE concert - open to all - will begin at 7 p.m. at the amphitheater. Parking in all campus garages and lots is FREE and open to the public too!

New York City’s first and only all-female Mariachi group, Flor de Toloache was founded in 2008 and is led by singers Mireya Ramos and Shae Fiol. Reminiscent of the early days of Mariachi, the group started as a trio—harp, violin and vihuela—and was named for the delirium-inducing Mexican flower used as a love potion for generations.

Today, Flor De Toloache performs as a full Mariachi ensemble. Its members hail from such diverse cultural backgrounds as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Australia, Colombia, Germany, Italy and the United States. This variety of influences helps to explain their unique flavor and sound, a cultural bouquet that gives an edgy, versatile and fresh take on traditional Mexican music.
