The Soup Kitchen Board of Directors is excited to announce the hiring of our new Executive Director, Dr. Emily B. Hayes Emmalee Blythe Hayes!

I am honored and energized by the incredibly strong foundation I have been gifted as the newly appointed Executive Director of the Soup Kitchen of Muncie. I am deeply grateful to the dedicated board of directors and the remarkable team at SKM for providing a streamlined pathway for success in the role starting day one!. My first week has shown me just how formidable and compassionately coordinated this organization is. As I step into this role, I take the legacy that the founding members and this team have built very seriously. I am deeply encouraged to forge ahead alongside our passionate volunteers and community partners, ensuring we continue to feed our neighbors with the utmost dignity, compassion, and care.

The Art of Caring fundraiser put on by students and faculty of the BSU dept. Of Art going on now in the 4th floor Art Gallery in the Arts and Journalism building. Silent auction bidding until 5:45...come on over and make a bid, talk to some art students and support the Soup Kitchen of Muncie and local artists!

The Art of Caring Fundraiser
The School of Art is hosting a silent auction of student and faculty artwork in the new Fourth Gallery on the 4th floor of the Arts and Journalism building, overlooking the Atrium. Proceeds will benefit the Soup Kitchen of Muncie. All community members are invited to come and bid on artwork through April 10th, with a final reception on Friday, April 10th from 4-6pm. Winners can pick up artwork at the end of the reception, cash only please. Arrangements can be made for later pick up for those who cannot attend the reception.
